Norway Excursions - Inspired by Experience

Credit card payments in favor of Norway Excursions AS are collected by Payyo (Trekksoft group company) or Stripe. Payments done on our website through PAYYO/STRIPE will appear as “NORWAY EXC” on your credit card statement. The domain where you enter and process your payment is owned and operated by TrekkSoft Zürich, Rötelstrasse 22, 8006 Zürich, Switzerland or Stripe.

To avoid confusion by complex translations the terms and conditions on our website are only offered in English. In case of doubt, we recommend you to use Google Translate or to contact us directly by contacting our Data Protection Officer (DPO) Birgir Gunnarsson.

This website is operated by Norway Excursions AS. Throughout this site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Norway Excursions AS. Also throughout this site, the terms “you” and “your” refer to all of our private/business customers, consisting of a company/ groups/ parties/ individuals (traveling to Norway, within Norway or from outside of Norway). We offer this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services we provide. If these Terms and Conditions are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms and Conditions.

Any new features or tools which are added to our website www.norwayexcursions.com shall also be subject to the Terms and Conditions. You can review the most current version of the Terms and Conditions at any time on our website. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the service we provide, use of the service, or access to the service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

Section 1 – Modifications to the service and prices

Prices for our excursions are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the service we provide (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.

We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change or discontinuance of the service we provide.

Section 2 – When booking an excursion

We cannot guarantee available seats on excursions unless they have been booked/reserved at least 24 hours before the excursion is scheduled to depart. Excursions with a departure time of 13:00 or later have to be booked before 13:00 the day before.

We kindly ask you that, when booking an excursion with us, to always inform us about any special needs. For example: allergies, gluten free meals, wheelchairs etc. There may be additional costs in such cases, therefore we ask you to contact us for further information.

We reserve the right to adjust transportation to the size of the group.

For individual bookings: When booking an excursion with us through our webstore, the full amount has to be paid in advance upon booking by the customer. Be advised, first and last paragraph in section 2 and our cancelation policy in section 8, when booking with short notice. The option for pre-bookings is not being used by us.

For tour operators: please contact our booking office for (group) bookings and payment conditions.

For bookings in less than 24 hours before departure of the actual excursion please fill out the online request form or contact our booking office.

Section 3 – What our excursions include & exclude

Tour descriptions are sent to you after booking your excursion with us. In our tour description is stated what is included in each excursion.

All excursions include admissions to the venues mentioned in the tour description. Excursions also include guiding and transportation when applicable with a full size coach or a mini bus, depending on the final number of participating guests.

The option of adding lunch to a tour is only possible on full day excursions.

Section 4 – Guided Tours

We will at all times try to provide excursions in the desired language. However, should the online bookings turn out to be low, we reserve the right to guide in English. In such cases we will always provide a multi-lingual guide.

For excursions guided exclusively in one of the following languages, please fill out our online request form: German, French, Dutch, Spanish and Italian.

For excursions guided in a different language than the above mentioned languages (for example Russian, Japanese, Mandarin etc.), please fill out the request form instead of booking online.

Section 5 – Be prepared for all weather conditions

We focus on putting a smile on all of our customer’s faces during and at the end of each excursion. Even though that is our aim, experience has taught us that people might end up slightly disappointed with their excursion when they have not been advised regarding appropriate clothing.

On hikes we advise you to be well prepared for everything. Bring hiking boots & warm clothing, for example a warm jacket and even rain gear if necessary.

Also on coach excursions we advise you to be prepared for everything. It might be warm and sunny when departing from the meeting point, but the weather in Norway can change rapidly. Especially when traveling up the mountains, where it can get windy and cold. Bring light appropriate shoe wear and warm clothing and even rain gear if necessary.

Section 6 – We care about our environment

We kindly ask you to respect our beautiful planet. Please throw all garbage in trash cans or trash bags located on our supplier’s coaches. All coaches are equipped with trash bags on the side of each row, so kindly help us by using those bags for all trash while traveling on our excursions. Please do not hesitate to talk to/inform our guide or the driver if anything is out of place regarding this issue.

Section 7 – Liabilities before/during/after excursions

At all-time we reserve the right to change or adapt, if necessary, tour descriptions, departure times or the general routes. These changes can be necessary due to factors that cannot be controlled by us or our suppliers. We are not liable to any kind of factors that are suitable under the term “Force Majeure”. Factors that cannot be controlled by us are for example avalanches, accidents, injuries, strikes etc. We do not accept any liability to any kind of financial damages that may occur to you due to these factors with possible late arrivals as a result. Therefore you are fully responsible for all financial damages due to these uncontrollable factors.

Any damage to clothing (such as shoe wear, jacket and etc.) or personal belongings (such as camera, smartphones and etc.) during the excursion is on your own responsibility. Claims will not be accepted by us.

If any belongings are lost/missing after an excursion, we recommend you to let us know as soon as possible by calling us at (+47)92272247 / (+45)65744255 or by sending us a request online. By contacting us, we can contact our suppliers/partners to see if we can locate the missing item. Again, you are responsible for your own clothing and personal belongings at all times.

We advise you to be fully prepared by arranging a travel insurance before domestic/international traveling.

Section 8 – Free Cancellation of Excursions

Standard/Scheduled/Private Bus, Walk and Hike Tours:

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • Not showing up at the meeting point means no refund.

N.B. We reserve the right to cancel excursions due to low participation or extreme weather conditions. In case we are forced to cancel your excursion, you are entitled to a full refund. Cruise ship passengers are entitled to a 100% refund of ticket and lunch (if applicable) in case of a cancellation of a port call. Bookings made on old cancellation policy are automatically upgraded to the new cancellation policy.

Section 9 – Infant/Child/Youth

We also welcome infants, children and youth on our excursions and therefore we offer the following:

  • Infant, age 0-2 yrs – Free of charge when traveling with adults on the same excursion
  • Child, age 3-11 yrs – 50% discount on ticket when traveling with adults on the same excursion
  • Youth, age 12-17 yrs – 25% discount on ticket when traveling with adults on the same excursion

We reserve the right to verify the ages of children/youth before departure of the excursion and kindly ask you to be prepared for that.

Section 10 – Personal information

Your submission of personal information through our website is governed by our Privacy Policy. Please go to the tab “Privacy Policy” for further information.

Section 11 – Promotional offers / Discount codes

Occasionally we run promotional offers / Discount / Voucher codes through a pop-up on our website, social media or through our newsletter. Our promotional offers / Discount / Voucher codes always have a time limit, which is always stated in offer. Promotional offers / Discount / Voucher codes cannot be added to a booking after a purchase. If you encounter any difficulties applying a discount/voucher to your purchase, we recommend you always to contact us before finalizing your purchase.

Please note that any promotional offers / Discount / Voucher codes offered are not applicable to excursions or activities organized by our partners.

Section 12 – Book Locally

As from 01. October 2023 we started to introduce the term “Book Locally”. Those services that are marked with this term might be sold at a different price on other marketplaces/agents. The “Book Locally” term is to encourage our customers to book locally as we want our customers to experience “High quality tours at a fair price”. In addition, our discounted tours are meant for marketplaces or agents who have agreed to sell our services exclusively. This means that they are not offering similar or the same services that we are offering. All services that are NOT marked with this term are to be considered as “Book Locally”.
